Jan-Michael Vincent Early Life and Career
Jan Michael Vincent was born on July 15, 1944, in Denver, Colorado to Doris Vincent and Llyod Vincent. He attended Hanford High School in Hanford and went to Ventura College in 1964. However, he didn’t complete the college but served in the California Army National Guard until 1971.
Jan was initially reluctant to enter into acting as his main hobby, until he became aware of a call from Edward di Lorenzo for potential actors to do a part in a drama in their resort in California. He auditioned and was cast in the main role of ‘Tony Prito’ and developed his stage and screen roles throughout the states of California, Oregon, Washington and finally in Florida.
Decades later, with a brilliant career in theater, TV, and film, his film roles include such well-known films as The Mechanic, The World’s Greatest Athlete (1973), White Line Fever (1975), Shadow of the Hawk (1976), The Perfect Family (1999), Hooper (1978), Hard Country (1981), Get Out of My Room (1985), Enemy Territory (1987), Born in East L.A. (1987), Xtro II: The Second Encounter (1990), White Boy (2003) and many more
Later in life, Jan suffered from alcoholism. He got into legal trouble many times due to his habit of alcohol consumption. He got involved in many severe automobile collisions, bar brawls, possession of cocaine, drunk driving and abusive behavior with his wives. Vincent was fined $374,000 for physically assaulting her former girlfriend. He died on February 10, 2019, at the age of 74.

Jan and Bonnie Portman got married in 1968 but due to Jan’s aggressive behavior problem, they got separated in 1977. The couple had a daughter, Amber Springbird Vincent, in 1972. Later in 1986 he again got married to Joanne Robinson. However, the marriage didn’t last long. Jan was accused of abusing Joanne during the marriage. His third wife’s name was Patricia Ann Chris and they got married in 2000.
